An official delegation led by the Ethiopian Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide, visited Djibouti to review the levels of bilateral cooperation and explore the potential to expand the bilateral ties.
 An official delegation led by the Ethiopian Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide, visited Djibouti to review the levels of bilateral cooperation and explore the potential to expand the bilateral ties. The Pandemic had disrupted mutual engagements.
The delegation noted that the two friendly countries have jointly invested more than10 billion USD in different infrastructural schemes and expressed commitment of both governments to further scale up their economic ties through regular bilateral talks.
Three issues were agreed upon during the meeting in accordance with the previous discussions of the two leaders.It was agreed to preserve the previous price quotation on fruits and vegetables being exported to Djibouti until a joint committee comes up with agreed terms, on the basis of the current market reality and conditions of the general population in Djibouti.They also agreed that importers in Djibouti will be able to buy khat without having to pass through an export contract. The delegation also agreed to continue the Maritime Charges of the two countries unchanged until a joint deliberation.
