Choppies, a one-stop destination for Namibia’s cheapest basket of standardised groceries

According to the monthly grocery basket comparison survey conducted every month by ‘The Brief’ records, Choppies offers the cheapest basket of standardised groceries among Windhoek’s eight popular grocery supermarkets.

According to the monthly grocery basket comparison conducted every month by ‘The Brief’  records   Choppies offers the cheapest basket of standardised groceries among Windhoek’s eight popular grocery supermarkets.

This monthly exercise provides consumers with valuable insights into the price of a basket of 20 standardised grocery products across eight supermarkets. Throughout the survey span of five months, Choppies was consistently on top with the most budget-friendly shopping basket, for an average cost of N$928.99. Notably, in October, Choppies maintained its position as the most cost-effective supermarket, with a shopping basket priced at N$ 900.80, showing a slight month-on-month increase of 0.73%.
