The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ), in partnership with Financial Markets Indaba, will hold its 2025 Winter School and Investment Conference in the UK from August 24–28. Taking place at the University of Kent in Canterbury and concluding at 99 Bishopsgate, London, the event targets global finance professionals, investors, and policymakers to spotlight Zimbabwe’s economic reform and investment opportunities.
Under the theme “Global Perspectives, Local Impact,” the conference highlights the vital role of the diaspora in connecting Zimbabwe to global capital. With over half of ICAZ’s members abroad, the event emphasizes private sector engagement, economic diplomacy, and professional development.
The Canterbury sessions will feature expert panels and company presentations focused on capital markets, investment flows, and sectoral growth in energy, tech, and infrastructure. The London leg will involve closed-door investor roundtables and B2B matchmaking to spur actionable partnerships and deal flow.
Key participants include the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, ZIDA, VFEX, and top financial institutions, reflecting strong public-private alignment. The event also responds to recent reform efforts, including ZIDA’s expansion, VFEX growth, and the Mutapa Investment Fund’s launch.
