The President was in Dubai for the expo being held under theme ‘Connecting minds, creating the future’. Further dwelling on the investment climate in the southern African country, he said that the government was ready to help investors and support them through incentives that would increase their rate of returns and reduce risks in investments.
Mr Hichilema highlighted the private sector development reforms being carried out by the government aimed at creating a conducive business environment, promoting and protecting investments, providing incentives, reducing rigidities and red tape, and ensuring policy consistency.
The present regime, as reported by www.trendsnafrica.com is focussing on promoting foreign investments into Zambia. The earlier regime had focused more on infrastructural development by initiating a number of projects, entailing a huge cost. Such projects have not yet started yielding required results.
