The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) and the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation between the two institutions in investment promotion and the exchange of investment-related information.
The agreement was signed in Nairobi by ZDA Acting Director-General Albert Halwampa and by KenInvest Managing Director Olivia Rachier. The MoU will help two institutions to establish a practical framework for the development of stronger business relations and the strengthening of institutional relations and capacity building.

The MoU seeks to promote foreign direct investments (FDIs) between the two countries and channel investments in each other’s countries consistent with the local laws and regulations. The identified areas of collaboration include investment promotion and business facilitation, information exchange, collaboration and exchange programs, organization of events, and aftercare facilitation. The two parties agreed to facilitate both outward and inward foreign direct investment while collaborating and assisting each other in establishing, developing, and packaging investment projects.
