· The World Bank recently announced that it is rolling out a
massive project of US$ 14 billion for developing countries for
shortening their time of recovery.
· Under the project, funding will be available for medical
diagnostic services, surveillance and response, capacity building,
quarantine, isolation and treatment centers, medical waste disposal,
risk communications and community engagement as well as for
strengthening of the country’s capacity to provide safe blood
services.
The World Bank recently announced that it is rolling out a massive
project of US$ 14 billion for developing countries for shortening
their time of recovery. That is meant for helping the countries to
cope with economic and healthcare impact caused by the virus. In
addition to that, International Finance Corporation (IFC) will lend
US$ 8 billion for helping the private sector in developing countries.
Under the project, funding will be available for medical diagnostic
services, surveillance and response, capacity building, quarantine,
isolation and treatment centers, medical waste disposal, risk
communications and community engagement
It is reported that the World Bank Group, which include many connected
organizations of the Bank, will roll out a package of US$ 160 billion
over 15 months or so as a response to help countries to come out of
the impact of the pandemic.
