United States first lady Jill Biden is expected to visit Namibia next week. This was confirmed by a senior Namibian government source. Jill Biden’s African trip is expected to include a visit to Kenya as well.

During her visit to Namibia, Biden is expected to specifically focus on women, youth empowerment, and educational issues. The public affairs officer at the American embassy in Namibia is yet to give an official confirmation on this.

Kenyan foreign affairs and diaspora affairs cabinet secretary Dr Alfred Mutua had responded to a question by a journalist that the first lady of the US will visit the country in February and did not reveal the purpose of the visit.
