The Ukrainian minister of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, said, before the departure of the ship that the ship was being loaded with grains, which was the first ship that arrived at Odesa ports as part of the World Food Programme. The ship carries wheat weighing 23,000 tonnes. The UN considers the East African country (Ethiopia) is one of the five places, where starvation is crucial.

Ukraine and Russia reached a deal with Turkey on July 22 to restart Black Sea grain deliveries much to the relief of Egypt, which is also facing an acute food shortage and price spiral.
