The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) will hold its fifth edition of the Global Business Forum (GBF) on Africa on 18-19 November in Dubai with the theme “Scale Up Africa”. The event is expected to bring together African and UAE government officials and business leaders to explore newer opportunities of economic cooperation and to facilitate bilateral trade and investment. The fifth GBF Africa is part of Dubai Chamber’s Global Business Forum series, which focuses on emerging markets across Africa, Latin America and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The two-day event will focus on forging business engagements that will boost the partnerships and explore ways in which public and private sector players in Africa and the UAE can work together as partners in progress. Creation of a platform for constructive and continuous dialogue between the two regions is the paramount objective of the meet. With that in view, the GBF will identify new paradigms of cooperation among the businessmen from both regions. Energy, infrastructure, aviation, banking etc are the focal point for the dialogue and economic cooperation. The GBF currently operates four representative offices in Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, and Kenya.
