In Morocco, embroidery carries influences from Ottoman, Andalusian, and Moroccan Berber, or Amazigh, origins. The exhibition, which lasted over a week, from May 2 to May 8, provided an opportunity for embroiderers and the common man to see the unique features of Moroccan embroidery, its diversity and to provide a platform for them to discuss the current trends at the various workshops and discussions held to coincide with the event.
