The huge natural resources in both countries, he felt offered room to expand the economic relationship. He added that the resumption of a joint economic cooperation commission will also pave way for enhanced cooperation. He pointed out that due to the short geographical distance between Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and Red Sea ports, the transportation costs are lower. Iran is keen to share its progress in high-tech, knowledge and science, and technology. Further, being members of regional and international organizations such as South-South Cooperation, Non-Alignment Movement, and G-77 would help facilitate bilateral relations, he stressed.
