The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is studying the establishment of three new free zones in Egypt. The proposed free zones will be located in Alexandria, the 10th of Ramadan, and the 6th of October City, as per several requests from investors in these areas
The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is studying the establishment of three new free zones in Egypt. The proposed free zones will be located in Alexandria, on the 10th of Ramadan, and the 6th of October City, as per several requests from investors in these areas.
This decision was taken during a meeting between Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones. Heiba reviewed GAFI’s efforts to further lure foreign investments, citing the meetings that he held with a number of investors and representatives of international companies, with a view to promoting available investment opportunities in various sectors.

During the meeting, Madbouly and Heiba reviewed updates on granting the Golden License to the companies and projects that have applied for it.
