To be launched on November 14th, the National Housing Corporation (NHC) Joint Venture Policy of Tanzania is set to transform the country’s real estate sector.
Director of Business Development at NHC, Mr William Genya said that the proposed policy will offer opportunities for private investors both local and foreign to invest their capital in state-owned corporations. NHC announced in July 11 priorities for implementation in the financial year 2022/23 including the Public-Private Partnerships projects (PPPs). The policy invites private sector participation in developing prime plots in various areas, including city centres. The corporation proposes to redevelop prime plots hosting condemned buildings in partnership with potential real estate investors. He added that the diaspora, and big real estate companies both local and foreign have expressed interest in the announcement.
