During the visit the official signing of a contract for construction of the 5th lot of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Mwanza- Isaka also took place.
The debts, according to official sources include US dollars 15.7 million the country borrowed to construct the Tanzania and Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA), USD 137 million to construct houses for soldiers and another 15 million US dollars in debt.
