The Tanzanian government is promoting foreign investment in its various sectors by committing to an enabling environment for investment in the country’s natural resources and tourism. Natural Resources and Tourism Minister Dr Damas Ndumbaro, stated that the Ministry is committed to speed up issuance of licenses for tourism activities and improve accommodation facilities. Dr Ndumbaro also stated that the country is also offering opportunities in reserved areas to both domestic and foreign investors.

Dr Ndumbaro made the statement recently when he handed over certificates to investors like Grumeti Reserves Ltd who has been given approval for investing in Special Wildlife Investment Concession Areas (SWICA) under the Tanzania Wildlife Authority (TAWA). The approval facilitates Grumeti Reserves Ltd to own hunting blocks.
