Tanzania and Ukraine have agreed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, trade and investment, industry, tourism, education, and health for the mutual benefit of both nations.

The agreement was reached during bilateral talks between Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, and Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025) currently being held in Turkey.

During the meeting, Minister Kombo emphasised that this is a timely moment for both countries to strengthen the framework for cooperation that will benefit their citizens economically. For his part, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Tanzania is a key partner for Ukraine, noting Tanzania’s consistent stance and strong commitment to upholding fundamental issues on international platforms, particularly matters of peace and security.

He further expressed Ukraine’s readiness to broaden economic cooperation with Tanzania, including in the development of transport and logistics infrastructure for the benefit of both countries.
