Turkey’s Ambassador to Zambia, Huseyin Barbaros Dicle, indicated a potential collaboration following discussions with Zambian officials. Turkey expressed interest in partnering with Zambia to enhance sustainable water management and sanitation. Dicle shared these insights in Lusaka on Tuesday after meeting with Water Development and Sanitation Minister Collins Nzovu.
“We had a fruitful meeting with Minister Nzovu, where we explored cooperation in sustainable water management and sanitation,” Dicle stated. Nzovu welcomed Dicle’s visit and expressed Zambia’s eagerness for Türkiye’s assistance in developing technologies to improve water conservation. As Zambia recovers from a severe drought during the 2023/2024 season, the country aims to implement strategies like water harvesting for sustainable management.
