As Algeria pushes forward with efforts to modernize its agriculture and livestock sectors, several leading Spanish companies have expressed a strong interest in contributing to this transformation. Their participation came during a dedicated seminar held in Algiers, aimed at fostering technological and commercial collaboration between the two countries.
The event, titled “Spanish Technology for Agriculture and Livestock Farming,” took place in Algiers. It was organized by ICEX, the Spanish government agency responsible for promoting exports and foreign investments, in coordination with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Algeria. The seminar served as a platform for Spanish firms to showcase their technological capabilities and innovative products tailored to modern agricultural practices.
A total of ten Spanish companies participated in the seminar, each offering specialized solutions across a range of agricultural sectors. Their presentations focused on:
- Agricultural machinery
- Biostimulants and biofertilizers
- Sustainable farming technologies
- Livestock nutrition and equipment
These companies view Algeria as a strategically important market, citing factors such as its proximity to Europe, the recently introduced investment legislation, and a growing political commitment to revamping the agriculture industry.
