As the G20 summit approaches in November, aligning the Global South—particularly Africa—toward sustainable and inclusive growth is crucial. South Africa’s 2025 G20 presidency carries major weight, representing Africa’s interests and challenges, especially youth unemployment and economic inequality.
While the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to reduce poverty—still affecting over 700 million people—their progress has slowed, calling for a more targeted, opportunity-driven approach. - Task Force 1 promotes inclusive industrialisation, youth employment, and equality.
- Task Force 2 focuses on resilient, fair food systems.
- Task Force 3 emphasises digital transformation and bridging the AI divide.
