Minister of Oil and Gas of the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdul-Sadiq, and the acting Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Masoud Sulaiman, have discussed Shell’s return to investment in the Libyan oil sector.

This came during a meeting with Shell CEO Wael Swan on the sidelines of the World Energy Week conference in Houston, USA.The meeting discussed exploration and production projects, as well as refining and distribution projects. The two sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation to achieve sustainable development in the Libyan energy sector.

Meanwhile, Minister of Oil and Gas Khalifa Rjib Abdelsadiq has met with ConocoPhillips CEO Ryan Lance and discussed cooperation in oil exploration.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the CERAWeek conference in Houston, where discussions focused on the company’s potential participation in Libya’s upcoming bidding round. Officials also explored ConocoPhillips’s interest in specific exploration areas included in the tender.
