Air Seychelles has resumed passenger flights to all its pre-pandemic destinations. Destinations recently connected include Johannesburg, Mauritius, Tel Aviv and Mumbai. The new schedule indicates that Air Seychelles will be flying twice weekly to Jo’burg on Thursdays and Sundays. There will be a weekly flight to Mumbai on Sundays, so also to Tel Aviv on Wednesdays and Mauritius. The flights to Maldives will be resumed on March 4.

The airline will continue to work closely with all its partners to safeguard the health of its passengers and crew members, it assured in a statement issued recently. It is expected that resumption of these flights will continue to boost the Seychelles’ tourism industry. Tourism accounts for close to 50% of the revenue of the Island Nation in the Indian Ocean.

Last year (2021), a total of 182,849 persons visited Seychelles. Tourists were mostly from South Africa, Russia, Israel, India and Mauritius.
