Senegal’s energy sector is undergoing a transition, with a focus on increasing access to electricity and promoting renewable energy sources.

The development of the energy sector is a priority, according to Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. Chairing the launch of the Invest in Senegal Forum, scheduled for October 7 and 8.

According to him, the former government’s decision to liquefy gas and then export it will be corrected in favour of domestic consumption. An option that, according to Ousmane Sonko, would make it possible to offer energy at reasonable costs and boost the industrial sector.
