This project, the second of its kind in the area, will include three production lines: one for gypsum boards, another for plaster, and a third for manufacturing plastic packaging bags.
The head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), Walid Gamal El-Din, signed an agreement with Yasser Ayoub, Chairman of Industrial House for Building Materials, to establish a new gypsum products factory in the Wadi Al-Technology area, east of Ismailia in Sinai. This project, the second of its kind in the area, will include three production lines: one for gypsum boards, another for plaster, and a third for manufacturing plastic packaging bags.
The total investment in the project amounts to $12 million, covering an area of 50,000 square meters and providing 500 direct job opportunities.These projects are expected to create 650 direct jobs and mark a significant step in developing the promising Wadi Al-Technology industrial area in Sinai.
More than 80% of the factory’s production will be dedicated to exports, benefiting from the strategic integration between Wadi Al-Technology and East Port Said Port, which falls under the SCZone’s jurisdiction.

El-Din emphasized SCZone’s ongoing promotional efforts to attract investments across its industrial zones and affiliated ports over the past two and a half years.
