The Saudi minister Al-Qasabi disclosed that Saudi Arabia proposes to open a new commercial representation headquarters in Casablanca to promote economic cooperation, resolve issues faced by the private sector, and also attract investments. The announcement was made by the Minister at the recently held Morocco-Saudi Arabia economic forum organized by the Moroccan Employers’ Association (CGEM) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
Morocco and Saudi Arabia have also decided to boost the bilateral trade volume by almost five-fold to $5 billion dollars in the next 5 years. Currently the trade turnover between the two countries is around1.7 billion dollars.
Addressing the forum, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour observed that the current low volume of bilateral trade did not reflect the vast scope that existed and pointed out the opportunities offered by 370 industrial projects launched by his Ministry.
