Morocco aims to build on its strengthened automotive approach to increase its electric vehicle production capacity by 53%. Morocco’s Minister of Industry, Ryad Mezzour, announced the news on Tuesday, noting that the country’s goal is to increase production to reach 107,000 electric vehicles by the end of 2025.

Compagnie des Bananes de Mondoni (CDBM), the second Cameroonian subsidiary of France’s Compagnie fruitière de Marseille, exported 5,944 tons of bananas in the first four months of 2025. This rapid growth, achieved less than two years after entering the market in June 2023, has propelled CDBM to third place among Cameroonian banana exporters, surpassing long-established Boh Plantations PLC, which exported 3,947 tons over the same period.
