Egypt is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with the European Union for a previously agreed financing package worth €4 billion (USD 4.3 billion) in the second half of this year, according to Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat.

Egypt’s Industrial Production Index (excluding crude oil and petroleum products) reached 118.92 in January 2025 (preliminary), as against 118.22 in December 2024 (final). This reflects an increase of 0.59%, according to the latest data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization (CAPMAS).
