This visit also builds on a foundation established during President Kagame’s historic trip to Kazakhstan in 2015, which marked the first time a Rwandan head of state officially visited the Central Asian nation. President Kagame’s return to Astana reflects the continued commitment of both countries to expanding their diplomatic and economic ties on a mutually beneficial basis.
