To cater to the growing traffic, RwandAir has announced that it will launch direct flights to London from November 6. Since May 2017, RwandAir has been flying between London and Kigali through an indirect service, through Brussels. Therefore, passengers traveling to London had to transit through Brussels. Now they will have four direct flights instead of the three indirect flights a week.
Making the announcement RwandAir’s Chief Executive, Yvonne Manzi Makolo said that UK is an important market, and the passengers will benefit from the shorter and increased connections. The new flights are also expected to give a boost to Rwanda’s tourism sector. The country is famous for mountain gorillas, beautiful scenery, and safari at Akagera National Park.
Recently, the airline was awarded its second-in-a-row ‘Best Airline Staff in Africa. It connects to 28 destinations across East, Central, West, and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
