To promote investment and trade cooperation between Rwanda and UAE, Rwanda is holding investment roadshows in UAE. Organised jointly by Rwanda’s private sector, Rwanda Development Board (RD,B), and the Rwandan embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE.
The roadshows are scheduled from February 21-25, in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Dubai and will conclude with a Visit Rwanda Golf Tournament.

The match-making platforms provided by the roadshows aim at promoting partnerships between Rwanda and UAE businesses in sectors such as agro-processing, fintech & financial services, manufacturing, real estate, ICT, logistics, trade, hospitality, healthcare, and education. The bilateral economic cooperation between Rwanda and UAE has been growing steadily for the last four years, according to Rwanda’s ambassador to the UAE, Emmanuel Hategeka. The UAE-Rwanda Business Forum and investment roadshows are expected to deepen cooperation and boost the post-pandemic economic recovery.

The UAE is among Rwanda’s principal trade partners. The two-way trade over the last 10 years, recorded tenfold growth to more than $1 billion in 2022. It was reported that about 11 companies from the UAE have made investment commitments of over $134 million. Rwanda hopes to attract more investments and expertise from the UAE through the ongoing initiatives through MOUS. To facilitate more partnerships between Rwanda and the UAE, the Rwandan Private Sector and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry have announced their decision to set up the UAE-Rwanda Joint Business Council.
