The CEO of the National Real Estate Company of Tunisia (SNIT), Fahmi Kammoun, called for the creation of new cities, to meet the growing demand for social housing.
The CEO of the National Estate Company of Tunisia (SNIT), Fahmi Kammoun, called for the creation of new cities, to meet the growing demand for social housing. In an interview with Tunis Africa Agency (TAP), he stressed the need to provide, in these cities, all the basic services that citizens need, such as health, education, and transportation, which would contribute to reducing the burden on citizens on the one hand and solving the housing problem on the other.

He also stressed the importance of supporting public institutions to fulfil their social and regulatory role in light of the availability of political will.
It should be noted that SNIT devotes 80% of its projects to social housing and the rest to low-cost housing.
