Prince Harry is relinquishing his royal charges, but there are indications that he might continue with his association with Africa. The prince’s surprise appearance at  the U.K.-Africa Investment Summit, was an indication that he would continue taking interests in the African affairs, even after surrendering his royal privileges.   About the UK-Africa Summit, www.trendsnafrica.com has earlier on the day uploaded a detailed report.

Apart from the Duke of Sussex (Prince Harry), the summit was attended by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of Morocco Saadeddine Othmani, President of Malawi Arthur Peter Mutharika and President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi.

It may be recalled that both Duke and Duchess of Sussex in an unexpected  move recently had declared that they are no longer working members of the royal family and will be known as Harry and Meghan. Prince Harry is sixth line to the   British throne.

The prince has a special love for Africa, which he considers as his second home. Together with Duchess of Kent Meghan, he visited several African nations in October.  Africa accorded a rousing welcome to the prince in 1997, which was his maiden visit to the continent after the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

In another significant development, Prince William separately met African leaders, such as Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo and Rwanda President Paul Kagame at Buckingham Palace and hosted a reception to the visiting UK Africa attendees at the  Buckingham Palace.
