After several years without a direct connection, the Port of Cádiz in Spain has successfully reinstated its container transport links with Morocco through the launch of a new maritime service to the Port of Casablanca. This development marks the reopening of a vital commercial corridor between the two countries, strengthening trade relations across the Strait of Gibraltar.
The new maritime route is being managed by Tailwind Shipping Lines as part of its DEX (Dolphin Express Service) network. This comprehensive route links multiple key European and African ports, including Moerdijk (Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium), Setúbal (Portugal), Cádiz (Spain), and Casablanca (Morocco), before extending further to Barcelona and various Asian destinations. The service aims to provide a faster and more efficient logistical chain for international cargo transport.
The official inauguration of the route was marked by the arrival of the vessel «Panda 004» at the Port of Cádiz, where a ceremony was held to commemorate the occasion. In the coming weeks, the ships «Panda 003» and «Panda 005» are scheduled to join the service, ensuring the continuity and reliability of the route.
