The reported deaths from Africa due to COVID 19 crossed 154,550 as on July 15th. South Africa continued to top the record with reported cases of 2,236,805 and 65,595 deaths. The other countries most affected are Morocco (547,273), Tunisia (518,609), Egypt (283,409), Ethiopia (277,318), Libya (212,013) and Kenya (190,183).

The total confirmed cases of the Pandemic as of July 15, from the 55 countries of Africa is 6,067,118 with a reported recovery of 5,280,285. The vaccinated population in the continent is around 38,373,300.

The data has been compiled and published by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University. The statistics used is sourced from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
