The bilateral trade between trade between Egypt and Pakistan has recorded steady rise. According to the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt Sajid Bilal,the two way trade so far has touched $400m mark with Egypt’s exports  valued at $300m.The larger share of Egypt’s exports goes to natural gas he said.

In a bid to promote bilateral cooperation, Pakistan proposes to host an investment exhibition by the end of this month. Egyptian businessmen will participate in the exhibition and the meetings.The Ambassador invited Egyptian businessmen to explore the investment and trade opportunities in the country.

Egypt’s Ambassador to Pakistan Tarek Dahroug and Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi recently met last month to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, according to a statement by the Pakistani foreign ministry. The Ambassador highlighted energy, housing, and health as potential areas for investment in Pakistan and invited Egyptian businessmen’s participation in these sectors. He described Egypt as a pivot for Pakistan’s “Engage Africa” policy.
