Namibia Revises Export Levies to Boost Livestock Sector and Domestic Value Addition

As part of a broader effort to transform its operations, Air Zimbabwe has announced the sale of two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. This decision is central to the airline’s ambitious turnaround strategy, which aims to modernise its fleet, generate working capital, and enhance its operational competitiveness on both domestic and regional routes.

Ethiopia, Rwanda, Djibouti, Uganda, and Tanzania are expected to average 6% or higher growth in 2025-26, supported by continued public investments to deepen domestic value chains in agriculture and domestic energy. The institution expects that African countries could reverse the projected outlook by limiting the transmission of shocks and uncertainty to domestic economies. For it to be effective, though, economies will have to tame inflation, which will be hard because of the knock-on effects of tariffs and uncertainty-induced expectations of higher prices.

Access Bank Plc has completed its acquisition of National Bank of Kenya (NBK) from KCB Group Plc. The deal, announced in March 2024, closed on 30 May 2025, following approvals from the Central Bank of Kenya and the Competition Authority of Kenya.
