This was announced by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, at a meeting at the headquarters of the French Businessmen Council “MEDEF” in Paris. A number of Egyptian ministers, the head of the General Investment Authority, and Ayman Soliman, Executive Director of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt were also present at the meeting. The meeting reviewed the ongoing cooperation with France, especially in the field of electricity, telecommunications, and development financing.
Some of the other French companies who participated in the meeting included L’Oreal, Alstom and SYSTRA. A representative from L’Oreal said its factory in Egypt exported 85 percent of the production. Representatives of Alstom and SYSTRA expressed their satisfaction to participate in the ambitious transport and railway projects implemented by Egypt.The French Employers Council assured their support to encourage more French companies to explore the Egyptian market.
