OCP Africa A subsidiary of OCP Group – a leading global provider of phosphate and its derivatives, has entered into a partnership agreement with Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. The Moroccan company has agreed to launch soil mapping exercises for over 100 participants. The objective of the project is to increase fertilizer customization for the participants.

OCP Africa has adopted fertilizer and soil customization as a major strategy to optimise the results for its partners across the continent. Morocco’s phosphates giant has been taking efforts to maximize the effectiveness of its product by ensuring that each farmer is supplied with the right type and amount of fertilizer appropriate for their specific soil and their specific needs.

The first shipment of the Fertiliser was supplied to Kenya by the company in September. The global shortage of fertilsers triggered by the Ukraine war has helped the company to firmly establish its presence in the continent. During the first half of 2022, the group registered over $5 billion (MAD 52 billion) in revenues. The rise in revenue is expected to continue in 2023.
