Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have endorsed Kamala Harris in her US Presidential bid. Analysts feel that it is crucial backing, going by the media reports that both the former president and first lady were sulking in extending support to Harris.
Harris received a joint call from the former first couple, as she prepares to take the formidable former Republican President Donald Trump. Harris was the first Black woman and the first person of Asian descent to serve as vice president. Her making it to the top post in the US will be historic since she will have several firsts to her credit and important among them is the first woman as the US President, a position denied to Hilary Clinton, which many say was a quirk of destiny that had catapulted Donald Trump to the US political centre stage.
