APM Terminals Apapa, has invested US$438 million (about N180b) in the upgrade of its facility. Investments were made for acquisition of modern cargo handling equipment and support of seamless service. APM Terminals Apapa    has become the concessionaire of the terminal since 2006.   The company is also investing in upgrading the skills of its employees.

 The company has invested around US$438 million  for handling equipment installed  in the terminal, such as  mobile harbor cranes, rubber tyred gantry cranes, reach stackers, forklifts, terminal trucks, empty handlers and also for  yard improvements. For upgrading the skills of the workforce, it is organizing career development programs,   training, career progression and avenues for employment generation.

 It is also investing in renovating facilities such as buildings, upgrading in and out-gate facilities, terminal fencing and lighting. The company is following global best practices to introduce digitized products to ensure seamless services to its customers.
