NGO’s honoured in Egypt for development works

·      The Professional Development Foundation (PDF) honoured winners of the fifth round of the NGOs Award of Excellence in a ceremony held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization recently

·       The organization works under the Ministry of Social Solidarity

·      Fourteen NGOs won this year’s annual competition. The competition aims at promoting NGOs resolving societal problems and  of the fourteen contestants, four NGOs won financial prizes

·      The rest 10 were granted appreciation certificates and training grants.

 

The Professional Development Foundation (PDF) honoured winners of the fifth round of the NGOs Award of Excellence in a ceremony held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization recently. The organization works under the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

Fourteen NGOs won this year’s annual competition. The competition aims at promoting NGOs resolving societal problems. Of the fourteen contestants, four NGOs won financial prizes. The rest 10 were granted appreciation certificates and training grants.

The winner of the first prize was Al Shagara Foundation for Development and Art in North Sinai. It got a  cash prize of  EGP 150,000. The foundation’s project was to establish a cultural centre “Shagara art.”

The Egyptian British Pediatric Association was adjudged as the second in the competition. The EGP 100,000 award was given to the association for their project Al Mashowra Al Awsarya. Resala Nour Ala Nour Association bagged the third prize and were given EGP 75,000 for their Egyptian Hadouta project “Ezbet El Ward.” Alwan and Awtar Association won fourth place and EGP 50,000 for providing children with arts and activity bags “Hakeeba belraha welalwan.”
