Unifeeder, a subsidiary of DP World, announced the launch of a new shipping service connecting Mozambique to the Middle East and India. This will provide African businesses with a new, fast and reliable route to lucrative export markets.

The new fortnightly interconnected service commenced on Friday, 6 May 2022. It is operating between Maputo in Mozambique, Jebel Ali in the UAE, and Mundra on the West Coast of India.

DP World is committed to providing fast, cost-effective, and reliable connections to global markets for businesses across Africa. The new service provides faster and more reliable routes to exporters across Mozambique and inland Africa.  The port of Maputo has efficient rail and road connections to destinations such as Johannesburg, Komatipoort, Matsapha, and Harare.

The service consists of two vessels deployed on a 28-day round trip voyage. It offers the fastest transit time of only 11 days from Maputo to Jebel Ali and 15 days from Maputo to Mundra.
