The Mozambican Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FMCC) announced the appointment of Elias Boaventura Mondlane as its new Executive Director. Mondlane brings over 15 years of experience in administrative management, business development, and SME development projects. His appointment marks a significant step forward for the federation as it continues to champion economic growth and sustainable business development in Mozambique.

Mondlane’s career includes roles at the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) and the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (IPEME). His knowledge and expertise will enhance FMCC’s mission of promoting economic growth and improving the business climate for its members and associates.

Under Mondlane’s leadership, the FMCC will continue to advance its strategic initiatives, fostering a dynamic and sustainable economic landscape. The federation is committed to supporting its members and associates in achieving their business objectives and contributing to the overall economic prosperity of Mozambique.

The relaunch of FMCC was announced earlier this year, in March, with the appointment of Adrian Frey as its co-president, who joined Evaristo Madime in that role. Frey is the Chairman of MozParks, the only industrial park operator in the country, with sites in Beluluane and Nampula, and expansion plans to Cabo Delgado province. MozParks will provide technical and administrative support to FMCC over the next three years.
