Nasser Alshaali has been appointed as Chairperson of HSBC Egypt. He has taken over the charge since 22 September 2021.
Nasser succeeds David Eldon, who steps down after almost five years at the helm of affairs.
Nasser is a veteran corporate leader and brings a wealth of executive and board level experience and a deep understanding of the region. As Chairperson of HSBC Egypt, he has a challenge in aligning the multinational bank’s working closer to the development imperatives of the North African country. The important positions he held earlier include CEO of the Dubai International Financial Centre, Managing Director of Sabertia Capital Partners, and is currently Executive Director at Stra-tical Associates in Dubai.
Industry watchers opine that as Chairperson of HSBC Egypt, he has to support the Bank through its next phase of growth, helping the customers opening up a world of opportunity.
