Nando’s- South Africa’s flagship restaurant back in Dubai Mall

After four years, Nando’s, South Africa’s flagship restaurant chain has re-opened its outlet in Dubai Mall this week. It has also announced plans to open more new outlets in the emirate. The new outlet is located in a prime location facing the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Fountains.

Nando’s managing director, George Kunnappally, referred to the coming back of the chain as a massive milestone for the brand. He added that the new location is one of the most sought after locations in the mall and in one of the world’s largest and most successful shopping destinations and dining destination. Nando’s was founded in Johannesburg in 1987. It has over 1,000 outlets in 35 countries. Its Portuguese style dishes such as peri-peri chicken dishes are well known. It has plans to add to the portfolio of 22 Nando’s restaurants in the UAE and is in touch with landlords and looking at opportunities.
