The Mozambique government is investing more than 16 million meticais in the construction of a customs court in Gaza.  The foundation stone of the customs court was laid recently.

The work comprises a courtroom, a waiting room and three offices for magistrates. The work is expected to be completed in a year. The court is expected to create conditions for citizens to resolve customs problems locally.

The  customs court was vital in a part of the country bordering South Africa and Zimbabwe, through the border areas of Pafuri and Chicualacuala respectively.
