In early 2024, Sasol launched the 4th cycle of its ESD Programme as part of the Local Content strategy in partnership with the Government of Mozambique. Twenty companies from Maxixe and Inhambane Céu will benefit from this cycle, taking place in Maxixe, Inhambane Province.

At the opening session, Maria do Céu Cumbana, Maxixe Administrator, highlighted Sasol’s commitment and dedication to fostering the growth of local business by providing tools for success and emphasized the importance for all companies to embrace this initiative to raise their standards of deliverables.

Over 40 companies from Inhambane, mainly from the Vilankulo district, participated in the first two cycles, with 88 participants, including 30 women. At present, 20 companies from the Inhassoro and Govuro districts are in the 3rd cycle, ending in mid-March 2024. In total, over 138 Mozambican companies, represented by more than 200 individuals, have already been trained through this initiative.
