The forum was dedicated to Mozambique’s transition toward renewable energy and sustainable industrialization, bringing together government representatives, private sector leaders, development partners, and innovators to explore strategies for an inclusive green transition.
Representing MozParks, General Director Onório Manuel joined a panel on energy and industrial development, where he highlighted the crucial role that industrial parks, including Beluluane Industrial Park, play as drivers of sustainable economic growth. He reaffirmed MozParks´ commitment to developing industrial zones that incorporate clean energy solutions.
Manuel also explained MozParks’ strategy to secure reliable renewable energy through strategic initiatives and partnerships: “It’s not enough to provide infrastructure alone. We need to combine it with the right support services like technical assistance, green incubators, and partnerships with training centers. This is how we help our tenant companies adopt environmentally responsible technologies and drive real change”.
Vanessa Muteia, Member of the Management Committee of MozYouth highlighted MozYouth’s ongoing efforts to prepare young Mozambicans to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the renewable energy and green industrial sectors through technical training programs, internships, mentorships, and strategic partnerships.
Muteia emphasised the importance of cross-organizational collaboration in youth empowerment, noting that working in isolation limits impact. She highlighted how specialised funding mechanisms tailored to young entrepreneurs can significantly accelerate youth-led innovation in the green transition.
