Morocco’s Aerospace Sector Soars: Export Growth Signals Another Record Year Ahead

(3 Minutes Read)

Morocco’s aerospace sector is soaring, registering impressive export growth in the first half of 2025. According to L’Economiste, the industry saw an 8.9% rise in exports between January and June, reaching 14.13 billion dirhams—further cementing Morocco’s rising profile in the global aviation supply chain.

Official figures from the Office des Changes point to two major contributors behind this growth:

  • A significant boost in aircraft assembly components, up by 895 million dirhams, and
  • An increase of 488 million dirhams in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).

These numbers build on a strong 2024 performance, where aerospace exports hit a record 26.4 billion dirhams—marking a staggering 244% growth since 2014. Analysts believe this momentum could help Morocco surpass that record by the end of 2025.

The country’s reputation in the aerospace industry continues to strengthen, with experts remarking that nearly every aircraft worldwide now contains components made in Morocco. This international recognition has been supported by the presence and growing investments of global giants like Airbus, Boeing, Safran, Bombardier, and Pratt & Whitney. Boeing, in particular, has played a strategic role by backing the creation of five aerospace centers of excellence, aimed at developing local talent and driving innovation.
