On February 14, 2025, Morocco plans to launch its digital portal for public services, known as “e-services.” This announcement was made by Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, the Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, during a session with the Public Finance Control Commission at the House of Representatives.
The portal will consolidate around 600 public services, including over 300 for citizens, nearly 200 for businesses, and almost 100 for public administrations. The goal is to enhance access to administrative services by streamlining processes and cutting down on processing times.
This initiative is part of the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, which was revealed in September 2024. According to the United Nations, Morocco has a score of 0.5618 out of 1 on the online services development index, a key component of the e-government development index (EGDI). The country ranks 100th globally and 11th in Africa, with aspirations to break into the world’s Top 50 by 2030.
The new portal aims to improve interactions between citizens and the administration and enhance access to essential services, thereby promoting better digital governance. Processing times for requests are expected to be reduced by 50%, as outlined in the “Maroc Digital 2030” strategy document.
