The popular magazine “Brisant,” aired on the German public TV channel Das Erste, has named Tangier as one of the top ten travel destinations for 2025. This Moroccan city is highlighted for German travellers seeking experiences beyond their usual spots. Morocco is known for its geostrategic position, economic indicators, and political stability, which contribute to its growing interest among tourists in visiting the country.
In its Friday Travel segment, Brisant showcases Tangier alongside a variety of global locales, such as the Greek islands, Serbia’s Mokra Gora, Finland’s Jyväskylä, East Sussex in England, the Tarn region in France, Albania, Guadalajara in Mexico, the Faroe Islands, and Arequipa in Peru. The editors encourage German tourists to explore Tangier’s unique charm rather than sticking to familiar destinations like Mallorca, Italy, and Croatia. They emphasise the city’s distinctive geographical position at the meeting point of Africa and Europe, where the Atlantic Ocean converges with the Mediterranean Sea.
Brisant highlights key attractions in this northern Moroccan city, including the Kasbah Museum and the historic medina. It also points out excellent diving opportunities where underwater adventurers can experience the vibrant ecosystem of algae, rock formations, and colourful fish. Another notable site is the legendary Caves of Hercules, which offer both mythological intrigue and stunning natural scenery.
